My Current Health/Workout Routine

Happy Monday! I love Mondays because it is the first day of the week meaning a fresh start on goals. 💪 Today I wanted to share what my current workout and health routine has been for the past several weeks.
WORKOUT:
Right now, I am working out 4-5 times a week. I typically will take the weekend to rest. I am currently doing circuit training where I focus on different body parts each day. I workout arms/back 2 days a week and legs the other sessions. I will do a few ab exercises every day incorporated with my workout. Additionally, I really enjoy running so I will run 2-3 days out of the week. Finally, I cannot emphasize how important stretching is before and after you workout. It is crucial for building long, lean muscle.
FOOD & HEALTH:
I do not believe in dieting, because it has never been something that worked for me. I always would binge right after I was done and go grab fast food for every meal lol. I have learned lately that it is SO much better in the long run to incorporate health foods gradually into your every day meal plan. I am constantly busy and on the go, so I have had to find foods that are easy to transport and are quick to make. Here are some of my favorite go-tos:
Breakfast:
Overnight Oats (Banana Peanut Butter & Strawberry Banana are my favorites!)
Parfait with Fruit and Honey
Smoothie (add kale!)
Lunch:
Tuna on Ezekiel Toast
Kale Salad with Grilled Chicken
Dinner:
Chicken & Veggies (simple and easy!)
Quinoa Bowl (add veggies and protein!)
These are just a few of my favorites, but there are a million other healthy and delicious options you can try! The biggest win for me currently is cutting out soda and by soda I mean Dr. Pepper! I have been trying to substitute every drink for water and I have seen a huge difference in my body and my skin as well! Another trick I have learned: Apple Cider Vinegar is a miracle worker. I try to take at least one shot of ACV a day. It is amazing for digestion and help flatten that tummy!
I hope these tips help yall reach your fitness & health goals a little easier!
Stay Motivated!
XOXO,
Nikki
