The best time of the year is almost here! The Nordstrom Anniversary sale is one of my all time favorite sales of the year, because you can get SO many amazing items on major sale. Today, I am going to give you a few tips to help you smartly shop the sale and get all the items you have your eye on before they sell out!
TIP #1: Get a Nordstrom Credit Card
This is something I wish I would have known much sooner, because having a Nordstrom credit card gives you early access to the sale. If you have early access you can start shopping the sale on July 12th versus public access that starts a full week later on July 19. I will say most of the popular items go during early access so if you want to guarantee you will get what you want — GET A CARD! You can even apply to get a card a few days before the sale and they will send you the card number to use in store/online before your card arrives. It is completely free to apply for a Nordstrom card and you earn points every time you make purchases where you can get cash back to use for future Nordstrom purchases. Tip #2: Check out the Catalog
My #1 tip is to check out the catalog and keep your eye on the site to see what is going to be part of the Nordstrom sale. By doing this, you can be ahead of the game and know which items you have your eye on so you will more than likely be able to snag them before they are sold out!

Tip #3: Purchase the Popular Items First
The items that are most popular ALWAYS go first and fast. I remember last year the color block cardigans from Topshop sold out in less than 30 minutes and that was during early access. I went in store to shop before it opened at 7 am and was super lucky to find one left. I made it my mission to grab all the items I knew I really wanted first! Most people make several purchases throughout the sale, so my best advice is to make your first purchase all the items you REALLY want! Some of the most popular items last year were cardigans, jeans, booties, and basic tees. People always go for the high quality basics first–so keep that in mind!
Tip #4: Browse the Sale at Midnight
Some of y’all may think I am a bit crazy for saying this, BUT I am telling you it made my life so much easier when shopping the sale! When the sale goes live at midnight on July 12th, be ready by your laptop and round up your favorites. I personally even made purchases right then so I could pick it up in the store when the store opened that morning! It is basically like just putting your items on hold, you can try it on, and if you need a different size, exchange it right there in the store! Definitely at least grab the items you think will go fast!
