Q: What are eyelash extensions?
Eyelash extensions are individual strands of synthetic fibers that are made to replicate a natural eyelash. Eyelash extensions lengthen and thicken your natural lashes when applied. There are three types of lash extensions: synthetic, silk, and mink. Lash extensions come in a variety of lengths, sizes, and shapes. Lash extensions are applied by a technician and are applied using a special formulated, semi-permanent glue and tweezers. Eyelash extensions are applied to each individual eyelash, one by one.
Q: Where do you get your eyelash extensions done?
I get my lash extensions done at Amazing Lash Studio. They have multiple locations in the DFW area– Frisco, Addison, Dallas, and Flower Mound. I go to their Frisco location.
Q: How much do eyelash extensions cost?
Prices vary at each business and location for eyelash extensions. If you are in the DFW area, you can get a full set at Amazing Lash Studio at either the Frisco or Addison location for just $59 when you mention my Instagram.
Q: How long does it take?
When you first get a full set applied, your appointment can last anywhere from an hour to two hours depending on what length and volume you want. After getting your initial set, you will go in every two-three weeks for a fill and those are much shorter appointments that last from 30 minutes to an hour, depending on how much you need filled.
Q: How often do you have to go in for fills?
Typically, you want to go in every 2-3 weeks to get a touch up on your lashes. I have been able to go 4 weeks without a fill before. It truly just depends on how much they have fallen out. I just keep an eye on mine and once they start looking funky, I will go in.

Q: Are lash extensions and glue safe for your eyes/lashes?
Absolutely– as long as they are applied by a professional technician with proper tools. You never want to get eyelash extensions by anyone who is not a trained technician or it can ruin your eyelashes. Amazing Lash Studios only uses professional grade adhesive that never comes in contact with your skin. They synthetic eyelashes never touch your skin.
Q: Do lash extensions damage your lashes?
When applied correctly and properly by a trained technician, eyelash extensions will not damage your eyelashes.
Q: Can you wash your eyes with extensions on?
Yes, but you want to be gentle when doing so. Wait 24-48 hours after each appointment before getting your lashes wet and make sure to use an oil free makeup remover on your eyelashes/eyes.
Q: Do eyelash extensions hurt?
Absolutely not! Your eyes are closed the entire time during each appointment. You will just feel lashes being applied, but it is not painful or uncomfortable at all.
Q: Is there any special care for your lashes?
You want to wait 24-48 hours before getting your lashes wet after an appointment, in order to let the glue properly dry. Avoid any eye makeup remover that contains oil, as it will make your lashes fall out. I only use an oil free makeup remover for my eyes and use q-tips to clean my lashes properly. Witch hazel is a great way to clean your eyelash extensions too. Using a dry mascara wand to brush eyelash extensions daily is also a great way to keep them looking neat and full.
Q: Can you still use mascara?
You honestly will not need to use mascara with eyelash extensions. I do still use mascara on my bottom lashes. If I feel like I need to use mascara, I know it is time to go in for a fill usually.
