5 Ways to Stay Productive At Home

Make a To Do List

This one is ESSENTIAL for me. Whether you have time do it the night before or at some point early in the morning, write down a few things to accomplish for the day. Whether it is the smallest task of ‘getting ready’ or maybe ‘reorganize closet’, writing down a few things to accomplish for the day can really help give yourself some purpose while at home. Heres an example of one of my to do lists from this week:

  • Dishes
  • Laundry
  • Get Ready
  • Clean up Office
  • Clean out Closet/Post on Poshmark
  • Take 1-2 Pictures
  • Round up Sales
  • Clean Bathrooms

Get Ready

I do not know what it is about getting ready for the day (probably just all in our heads lol), but whenever I shower and put on some makeup I swear I am a whole new woman. Even if you don’t have time to do the full shabang, just take a shower, change out of your pjs–even if its just into leggings, do some light makeup, and throw your hair in a messy bun. I promise you will feel one million times better.

Wake Up Early

For mamas, I know this can be a hard one– speaking for myself here. Tatum typically wakes up some time between 7-8 am, so getting up before then can seem rough. However, whenever I get up even just 20 minutes earlier it can make a huge difference in my day. Take those few extra minutes to make your coffee, drink some hot lemon water, make your bed, wash your face, take a moment and have some quiet time. I will even use this time to take a quick shower and get a jump start on the day. Some me time right when you wake up is a game changer.

Get Moving

This one goes hand in hand with some of the others above but being active during the day can really help your mood and energy level. Whether its right when you wake up or later in the day, do a quick at home workout. If you don’t have time to workout/are not feeling it, just take a quick walk around the block. You will feel a world of difference.

Work on a Project

Anything counts– no matter how big or small the project! Clean out/reorganize your closet, sell furniture and redecorate a room, organize your bathroom, catch up on laundry, or clean up the empty pit of a room I know we all have where we throw everything! LOL. A small or big project can be a good goal to strive for during this crazy time at home! When else will you have time to do it?!
